What Transits Am I Going Through Right Now?

The useful answer is not a list of everything moving in the sky. It is a short, dated comparison between current planetary positions and the reliable points in your own birth chart.

At a glance

The key points.

  1. 01Personal transits compare current planetary positions with fixed natal points.
  2. 02Exact slow-planet contacts and repeat passes usually deserve attention before minor daily aspects.
  3. 03Unknown birth time removes reliable Ascendant, Midheaven, house, and sometimes Moon timing claims.

01

What transits am I going through right now?

To find your current personal transits, calculate today's planetary longitudes and compare them with the planetary degrees and reliable angles in your natal chart. The result should name the moving planet, natal target, aspect, exact date, and whether the contact is direct or retrograde.

A current-sky calendar can tell you that Mars squares Saturn today, but that configuration is shared by everyone. It becomes personal only when a moving planet contacts a degree in your own birth chart.

AstroZen scans a selected 30- or 90-day range and returns exact major aspects rather than asking you to inspect a crowded bi-wheel day by day.

02

Current sky versus personal transits

A current transit chart and a personal transit chart answer different questions. The first describes the sky at one moment; the second overlays that moment on a natal chart so you can see which moving planets contact your own planets or angles.

03

Which current transits matter most?

Start with a narrow hierarchy instead of treating every aspect as equally important. Exact contacts from slower planets, contacts to the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or Midheaven, and aspects that repeat inside the selected range provide a practical first review list.

  • Read the moving planet, natal target, and aspect as one complete label.
  • Check the exact peak date before reading a broad interpretation.
  • Group repeated direct and retrograde contacts into one sequence.
  • Use faster-planet contacts as shorter context rather than automatic major events.

Method note: AstroZen's Focus mode prioritizes Jupiter through Pluto, repeat passes, and contacts to selected natal points. Detailed mode adds the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars.

04

Why exact dates and repeat passes matter

An aspect can enter an orb for days or months, but the exact date marks the smallest calculated angular distance to the selected aspect. Retrograde motion can bring the same moving planet back across the same natal degree, creating two or three exact passes in one longer cycle.

A useful calendar keeps those passes together and labels their order. Otherwise, one developing transit can look like several unrelated predictions and make an already busy aspect list harder to understand.

Exact geometry does not prove that a life event will occur on that date. Treat the date as a review anchor and compare the symbolic prompt with ordinary evidence, choices, and circumstances.

05

What if I do not know my birth time?

You can still calculate many planet-to-planet transits from a known birth date, but the result must remove time-sensitive targets. The Ascendant, Midheaven, and houses require a reliable time, and the Moon can move enough during one day to make close lunar contacts uncertain.

  • Do not substitute noon and present the angles as certain.
  • Exclude the natal Moon when the daily uncertainty could change a close contact.
  • Keep date-stable natal planets and label the result as reduced-detail mode.
  • Add an exact birth time later if you want angle and house-based timing.

FAQ

How do I find my current astrology transits?

Use a personal transit calculator that compares today's or a future date's planetary positions with your natal chart and lists the moving planet, natal point, aspect, orb, and exact date.

Are today's astrology transits the same for everyone?

The moving sky is shared, but its aspects to natal planets and angles depend on each person's birth chart. That current-to-natal comparison is what makes a transit personal.

Which transits should I look at first?

A practical starting order is exact slow-planet contacts, contacts to major natal points, and repeat passes. Add faster contacts only when you want more daily detail.

Can a transit calculator predict what will happen?

No. It can calculate dates and angular relationships. Any proposed personal meaning is a symbolic interpretation, not a scientifically validated event prediction.
